UCLA Remains in Third Place Entering the Final Round

The No. 2-ranked UCLA women's golf team was in third place after the third round of the NCAA Women's Golf Championship, hosted by Oregon State at the par 71, 6,312-yard Meadows Course at the Sunriver Resort in Redmond, Ore.
UCLA posted a score of 292 (+8) on Thursday for a 54-hole total of 882 (+30). Top-ranked Duke fired a tournament-best score of 278 (-6) to open up an eight-shot lead over second-place Auburn at 881 (+29). Second-round leader Pepperdine fell to fourth at 885 (+33) after posting a team score of 299 (+15), followed by California at 896 (+38),
UCLA senior Charlotte Mayorkas posted another two-over par score of 73 and was tied for second place with Duke's Brittany Lang, who fired a 68 (-3). Mayorkas was even par through 14 holes before carding a double bogey at the 15th.
Freshman Amie Cochran rebounded from Wednesday's high score to post a solid one-under par round of 70 on Thursday. Even par through 10 holes, Cochran birdied the par 4 11th and then carded seven straight pars for a 35 on the inward nine.
