Offensive Player of the Week Candidate:
Colin Curtis, So., OF, Issaquah, Wash.
Sophomore left fielder Colin Curtis went 4-for-10 (.400) to lead ASU at the plate during the Washington series. Curtis recorded at least one hit in all three games against the Huskies and has a current seven-game hitting streak. During the seven-game streak he is hitting .346 (9-for-26). Overall, Curtis is third on the team hitting .325 (68-for-209) and is second with 15 stolen bases. He has recorded at least one hit in 41 of 53 games.
Pitcher of the Week Candidate:
Pat Bresnehan, So., RHP, Sherborn, Mass.
Sophomore right-hander Pat Bresnehan pitched in two games in the Washington series and made three total appearances last week. Bresnehan earned his first save of the year with five scoreless innings in ASU's 2-1 win on Sunday to avoid the series sweep. In two games against UW he struck out four and allowed only two runs in seven innings. The save was the sixth of his career and first since March of last season. Overall, Bresnehan is 3-4 with a 5.47 ERA.
