Baseball Selection Show Switched To ESPN

May 28, 2005

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Monday's television broadcast of the 64-team field and pairings for the NCAA Baseball Regionals has been moved to ESPN. The show will still air at 8:30 a.m. and fans are invited to join Oregon State's baseball team to watch the announcement. The Beavers will gather at 8 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn, adjacent to the OSU campus.

OSU is hoping to be selected as one of the 16 host schools for the NCAA Regionals. The sites for the NCAA Regionals will be announced Sunday at 12:30 p.m., and those picks will still be broadcast on ESPN2.

The Beavers (41-9 overall, 19-5 Pacific-10) are already assured of at least a tie for the Pac-10 title, pending the outcome of this weekend's series between Arizona and California in Tucson. If Cal wins any of the three games, OSU wins the title outright; if the Wildcats sweep the Bears, then Oregon State and Arizona will share the title.
