Bruins Fall to Washington In Season Finale

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Five UCLA seniors played their final games in Westwood Sunday afternoon but Washington stole the show with a 16-5 victory at Jackie Robinson Stadium in the series and regular season finale for both teams. Right fielder Chris Jensen homered for the Bruins and four others contributed an RBI in the losing effort.
UCLA finishes the 2005 season with an overall mark of 15-41 and 4-20 in Pac-10 play. Washington ends its regular season 33-22 and 12-12 in conference action.
Bruin right-hander Bryan Beck, in his final collegiate start suffered the defeat, allowing eight runs on eight hits over six innings of work.Washington starter Kyle Parker earned the win.
Designated hitter Matt Lane was 2-for-5 with four runs scored and five RBI for the Huskies.
