College Station, Tex. - The No. 2 seeded duo of senior Sam Warburg and junior KC Corkery fell to Louisiana State's Mark Growcott and Ken Skupski in the semifinals of the NCAA Doubles Championship in College Station, Texas on Sunday. The reigning NCAA champions fell short in their bid to capture a second straight national doubles title.

Warburg and Corkery closed out an outstanding campaign that saw the duo post a 38-7 overall record. The tandem put together an outstanding season, winning the Wilson/ITA Regional Championship in November, advancing to the final of the ITA National Indoor Championship in October, and becoming the first Cardinal team since 1999 to win the Pacific Coast Doubles Championship in March. The pairing capped off the 2005 season by winning the Pac-10 doubles championship and earning Pac-10 doubles duo of the year honors in April.
