Lauren Fleshman runs to victory in 5,000 meters At Payton Jordan U.S. Open

Stanford, Ca - Former Stanford All-American Lauren Fleshman ran the fastest time by an American this year in the 5,000 meters to win the event at the Payton Jordan U.S. Open at Cobb Track & Angell Field.
Fleshman ran the distance in 15:15.63.
Several former and current Stanford also competed in the two-day competition.
800 Meters - 1. David Krummenacker, USA, 1:45.19; Justin Romaniuk, Stanford, dnf
1,500 Meters - 1. Rachid Ramzi, BHR, 3:34.74; Lauren Jespersen, Stanford, dnf
Discus - 1. Jarred Rose, USA, 206-10 (63.04m); 3. Michael Robertson (Stanford) 192-7 (58.70m)
