Football Opener To Be Televised by ESPN2

June 2, 2005

The UCLA football team's 2005 season-opening contest on Sept. 3 at San Diego State will be nationally televised by ESPN2. The contest is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

The last time the Bruins appeared on ESPN during the regular season was on Sept. 28, 2002 when ESPN2 carried their game at San Diego State.

Last month, it was announced that three UCLA games were among the early selections made by ABC. The three Bruin games selected were: Sept. 17 against Oklahoma at the Rose Bowl (12:30 p.m.), Nov. 12 versus Arizona State at the Rose Bowl (4:00 p.m.) and Dec. 3 against USC at the Coliseum (1:30 p.m.).

Other Bruin games will be selected by ABC, Fox Net and TBS on a 12-day selection basis.
