FSN to Televise 2005 Apple Cup
June 2, 2005
Seattle - The Pac-10 Conference Office announced today that FSN will televise the Apple Cup football game between Washington and Washington State on Nov. 19 at 12:15 p.m. Washington agreed to move up its traditional home start time by 15 minutes to accommodate a triple-header for FSN on that date.
In addition to the annual battle between the Huskies and Cougars, FSN will also broadcast the Civil War between Oregon and Oregon State at 3:45 p.m. and then show USC's home game with Fresno State at 7:15 p.m.
The Apple Cup is the third Husky game to be picked for network broadcast this season. Earlier this year the Pac-10 announced ABC Sports' early selections including a pair of Husky home games.
Washington's home opener against California on September 10 and the Huskies September 24 matchup with Notre Dame will both be shown by ABC. Both games will kickoff at 12:30 p.m. PT. The Cal game will be head coach Tyrone Willingham's first home game at Husky Stadium. The Sept. 24 matchup with the Irish matches Willingham against the school where he coached the past three seasons.
