Jody Thomas Named CRCA All-American

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Washington State University's Jody Thomas was named to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) All-America Second Team it was announced by the organization, June 2.
Thomas' All-American accolade follows up her selection to the CRCA West All-Region First Team last month.
The incoming senior from Blenheim, New Zealand is the third Cougar to be named an All-American in the program's history. Corrie McGrath was a two-time All-American, earning the award in 2002 and 2003 while Erin Patterson garnered an All-American selection in 2004.
Thomas competed as a member of the Cougars' varsity eight crew, which was ranked 19th in the final 2005 USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association NCAA Division I Varsity Eight Coaches Poll.
The CRCA All-American awards recognize the outstanding accomplishments of female rowers and coxswains for the spring season. Forty-five student-athletes were honored, 20 first-team selections and 25 second-team selections.
