Oregon State's Varsity Eight Finishes Third in Petite Final
June 4, 2005
CAMDEN, N.J. - Rowing season is complete for Oregon State's men's team and once again the Beavers Varsity Eight boat finished among the best in the nation. After having a bit of a struggle in Friday's race, the Varsity Eight bounced back Saturday morning to finish third in the Petite Final of the Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championships.
The effort for the Beavers was good enough to beat Friday's time by over 30 seconds and beat Yale, which had beaten OSU the previous day.
In other action, OSU's Second Varsity Eight finished fourth in the Third Level Final. The Beavers finished in the trailing position to St. Joseph's and Dartmouth in what was a close race for second through fourth.
