Four Cougars Earn Pac-10 Baseball All-Academic Honors

PULLMAN, Wash.- Washington State's Zach Kosturos earned first team honors and Jason Freeman was named to the second team as Pacific-10 Commissioner Tom Hansen announced the conference all-academic baseball honors Monday. Cougars Jay Miller and Jeff Miller earned honorable mention accolades.
Kosturos, a communications major, boasts a 3.52 GPA. The redshirt junior started 28 games for the Cougars, collecting 31 hits, including 11 doubles and a team-high three triples.
Freeman, a senior business administration major, carries a 3.25 GPA. The outfielder recorded 51 hits, 24 RBI and scored 30 Cougars in 55 starts.
Jay Miller, a two-time all-academic honoree, carries a 3.10 GPA in business administration. The junior posted a .322 batting average and led the team with 74 hits, including a team-high 22 multiple hit games.
Jeff Miller, a 3.00 GPA student, made 57 starts in the Cougar infield, posting a .282 batting average with 59 hits and 40 RBI. Miller posted a team-high five RBI against Portland March 4.
