Jody Thomas Named to Pacific-10 Conference Rowing Team

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Washington State University's Jody Thomas was named to the Pacific-10 Conference Women's Rowing Team, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced, Monday.

Thomas' Pac-10 accolade added to her list of 2005 honors as the incoming senior from Blenheim, New Zealand earned a spot on the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association All-America Second Team and the CRCA All-West Region First Team. Thomas was a member of the Cougars' varsity eight crew that finished 19th in the nation.

Thomas was just the third Cougar to be named an All-American in the program's history. Corrie McGrath was a two-time All-American, earning the award in 2002 and 2003 while Erin Patterson garnered an All-American selection in 2004.

WSU's Danny Brevick garnered a spot to the All-Pac-10 men's team.
