June 6, 2005

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - For the second year in a row Oregon State senior rower Adam Wing was selected to the 2005 All-Pac-10 Conference Men's Rowing team, as announced Monday by Commissioner Tom Hansen.

'I'm really excited for Adam to be recognized by the conference,' said Head Coach Fred Honebein. 'He has been one of the mainstays for the Oregon State program and this shows that his hard work has paid off.'

Wing (Union, Ore./Union HS), a fifth-year senior, recently helped the Beavers to a ninth place finish at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championships. OSU finished in the top ten in the country all five years that Wing has been in the program.

Wing, who rowed the seven-seat for the Beavers' 1st Varsity Eight helped his boat to fourth at the Pac-10 Championships in May and helped the team to third.
