Cardinal Men's Golf Announces 2004-05 Team Awards

Stanford, Calif. - The Stanford men's golf team announced its year-end awards for the 2004-05 season this afternoon.
The Low Freshman Stroke Average goes to Rob Grube (Hinsdale, IL) with a 71.2 average. The Most Improved Award goes to sophomore Matt Savage (Scottsdale, AZ). The Most Valuable Player goes to freshman golfer Rob Grube. Grube was the Pac-10 Conference freshman of the year, finished fifth individually at the NCAA Championships and had the highest number of rounds counted for the season. Lastly, the Stanford Tradition award, an award given to the player exhibiting leadership, strong work ethic, academic excellence, and an overall appreciation and understanding of the traditions of Stanford and Stanford men's golf, has been given to captain and senior Kevin Blue (Don Mills, Ontario).
The Stanford men's golf program is proud of these team members and all of their efforts.
