OSU Rowers Place Seven on All-Academic Team

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Oregon State's Men's Rowing team had seven student-athletes earn Pacific-10 Conference All-Academic honors, as announced by Commissioner Tom Hansen announced Thursday.
To be eligible for selection to the academic teams, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
Schamber, a senior majoring in History with a 3.26 GPA, earned all-academic honors for the third time. The Alsea, OR native, was first team in 2004 and received honorable mention in 2003. Carlton, a senior from Seattle, WA, is studying Civil Engineering with a 3.80 GPA. Conners, a sophomore from Davis, CA, boasts a 3.70 GPA in History.
Besson, a junior from Roseburg, OR, earned all-academic accolades for the second time in his career, having earned first team in 2004. Besson has a 3.24 GPA in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Rice, a junior from Portland, OR, owns a 3.14 GPA is Mechanical Engineering and received honorable mention in 2004. Moro, a senior from Joseph, OR, is a General Science major with a 3.01 GPA. Sherrett, a sophomore from Stanfield, OR, is studying Pre-Mechanical Engineering with a 3.22 GPA.
