A School Record Five Men's Tennis Players Earn Pac-10 All-Academic Accolades

TEMPE, Ariz.-- Led by three second team selections, the Arizona State University men's tennis team landed a program best five student-athletes on the Pac-10 All-Academic teams, announced by Pac-10 Commissioner Tom Hansen. To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.

 

Sophomores Christopher Biro and Jonathan Kinsella along with junior Ryan McBride earned second-team honors. Biro holds a 3.38 grade-point average in interdisciplinary studies, Kinsella carries a 3.49 GPA in management, while McBride posted a 3.24 GPA in elementary education. This is McBride's second Pac-10 All-Academic honor (honorable mention as a sophomore).

 

Senior Andy Colombo and sophomore Nick Hegarty claimed honorable mention status.
