Three Stanford Women's Tennis Players Honored for Academics

Walnut Creek, Calif. - Three Stanford women's tennis players we named to the 2005 Pacific-10 Conference All-Academic teams, announced yesterday by Commissioner Tom Hansen. Juniors Alice Barnes and Amber Liu, as well as sophomore Anne Yelsey were honored for their academic achievements.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor. 2005 NCAA Doubles Champion Barnes and two-time NCAA Singles Champion Liu were both First-Team selections, while NCAA Doubles Runner-Up Yelsey took Second-team accolades.
