10 Bruins Are Honored With Pac-10 All-Academic Honors

The Pac-10 announced the recipients of the 2005 All-Academic Team honors, with ten Bruins being selected for the distinction. Seniors Krisin Bixel, Monica Grova, Emina Ong, and Jessica Rogers were selected for First Team honors; sophomores Jessica Holt, Elizabeth Lee, Leah Wachtel, and junior Elizabeth Pallas-Jacobs were selected for Second Team honors and sophomore Erin Rice and senior Melanie Salter received Honorable Mention recognition.

To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average, and either be a starter or a significant substitute.

This is the third consecutive year that Grova, Ong and Rogers have received this recognition, and Bixel and Pallas-Jacobs's second. This is the first year that Holt, Lee, Wachtel, Rice and Salter have received this honor.
