Six Track Athletes Honored for Academic Achievements

Corvallis, Ore. - Six Oregon State University women's track student-athletes have been honored for their achievements in the classroom, the Pacific-10 Conference announced Friday.

Junior Jaime Fuller of Philomath was included in the 15-member first team. Fuller has a 3.85 cumulative GPA in business administration. Sophomore Ashley Younce of Portland was a second team selection with a 3.69 GPA in business administration.

Junior Katie Magnuson of White Bear Lake, Minn., sophomores Courtney Schrage and Lucy Twohy of Portland, and redshirt-freshman Ashley Francis of Beaverton were honorable mention selections.

To be eligible for the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, be a starter or significant contributor and have at least one year of residency at the school.

Younce, Fuller and Magnuson were also honored for their academic work last November in the sport of cross country.
