Baseball Bouces Back With 6-2 Win Over Cal State Fullerton

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Arizona State junior starting pitcher Erik Averill gave up one run over 7 2/3 innings and the Sun Devil offense came alive with four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to defeat Cal State Fullerton 6-2 in front of a record-tying crowd of 3,654 at Goodwin Field.

Bouncing back from a heart-breaking 3-2 loss on Friday, ASU improved to 38-23 overall and pushed the Best-of-Three Super Regional to a third game Sunday at 3 p.m. Cal State Fullerton falls to 46-17 on the season.
