Trojans Force Game Three, Defeat Oregon State 9-8 In 10 Innings.

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Billy Hart hit a go-ahead, bases-loaded single in the10th inning and Southern California rallied late to even its NCAA superregional series at one game apiece.

Oregon State (45-10) took an 8-3 lead in the seventh inning when MitchCanham launched a three-run homer to right-center.

But the Trojans (41-21) rallied with two runs in the eighth inning and threemore in the ninth to tie it.

To open USC's 10th, Roberto Lopez was hit by reliever Kevin Gunderson (6-3),then went to second on Blake Sharpe's base hit. An out later, Gunderson hitcatcher Jeff Clement to load the bases. Eddie Kunz gave up the single to Hart.

Paul Koss (4-1) earned the victory, allowing three runs on two hits over 41-3 innings.
