June 15, 2005
Corvallis - The Oregon State women's soccer team will add Jetta Sadusky, a transfer from the University of Nebraska, to the squad this fall, head coach Steve Fennah announced today. She is the eighth OSU newcomer signed for 2005.
After playing one season for the Cornhuskers, Sadusky will have three years of eligibility remaining at Oregon State. She is a midfielder/forward who hails from Littleton, Colo.
'Jetta is a high-level player,' Fennah said. 'She has tremendous pace and athleticism, and brings a great 1v1 ability to the team.'
In her one season at Nebraska, Sadusky played in 22 games and started five, helping the Cornhuskers to the round of 16 of the NCAA Tournament. Her lone goal came against Creighton and she took 16 shots during the season.
Sadusky was a four-year Colorado Olympic Development team member, as well as a three-year Region IV team member. Her club team, the Colorado Rush, won a state championship as she was named the state cup's most valuable player.
A graduate of Columbine High School, she finished second in the state of Colorado in scoring as a senior.
OSU's previously announced recruits are midfielder Tiffany Alvarez (Pomona, Calif./Pomona Catholic HS), midfielder/forward Esme Arredondo (Corvallis, Ore./Corvallis HS), midfielder/forward Julie Arredondo (Corvallis, Ore./Corvallis HS), defender McKenna Martindale (Lake Oswego, Ore./Lakeridge HS), defender Samantha Pabst (Eugene, Ore./Sheldon HS), forward Kelsey Provo (Eugene, Ore./Sheldon HS) and goalkeeper/forward Ashley Wood (Corvallis, Ore./Corvallis HS).
