Huskies Advance Through Match Play at Western Amateur

Lafayette, IN - Washington juniors Courtney McCracken and Amber Prange both won their opening round contests in match play at the Women's Western Golf Association's 105th National Amateur Championship. They advanced to Thursday's round of 32. The tournament, being played at Purdue's Brick Boilermaker Golf Complex. Concludes Saturday.

Prange defeated Meredith Winkelmann of St. Louis 5 and 4. McCracken dispatched Ali Kicklighter of Deland, Fla, 4 and 3. Both players advanced to the 64-person field of match play after two rounds of stroke play.
