Prugh Tied for Lead at State Amateur

Moses Lake, WA - Washington junior Alex Prugh is tied for the lead at the 79th Washington State Golf Association Men's Amateur Championship being contest at Moses Pointe in Moses Lake. Prugh shot 3-under 69 Wednesday and shares the lead with Bart Patitucci at 5-under 139.

Washington sophomore Zach Bixler is tied for third at 143. Bixler shot 74 during the second round after opeing with a 69. Chad Gorney dropped back to 21st after a second-round 79.

The field was cut down to the top 60 players following the second round. The tournament runs through Saturday.
