June 29, 2005
LOS ANGELES -- USC assistant women's volleyball coach Todd Dagenais has been named assistant coach for the 2005 Girls National High Performance Camp, hosted by USA Volleyball.
The camp features 24 of the nation's top players born between 1990 and 1992. The group will train July 14-24 in Austin, Texas, and will then be divided into two teams that will both compete at the 2005 USA High Performance National Championship (July 20-23) in Austin. Both teams will compete in the older Youth division against regional teams from around the country.
'I think it's exciting to have a chance to coach kids at this level,' said Dagenais.
Dagenais joined the USC program in March after spending the past year with USA Volleyball and before that was an assistant coach at Michigan State. He was the coordinator of USA Volleyball's High Performance Program since January of 2004 before moving to USC. He oversaw the girls' High Performance and domestic programs, as well as the girls' youth and junior national team programs.
