Lepp Holds Three Stroke Lead Heading into Final Round

Seattle - Husky senior James Lepp shot 1-over 73, but remained atop the leaderboard after 54 holes of play at the British Columbia Amateur Championship at the Gorge Vale Golf Club. Lepp's three-day total of 11-under 205 is three shots better than James Allenby. Two players are tied for third at 212.

Lepp, the 2005 NCAA Champion, has won the tournament the past three years. The top four finishers from the event will represent British Columbia at the 2005 Canadian Amateur Championship, August 13th-15th at Bell Bay Golf Club in Baddeck, Nova Scotia.

Husky junior Erik Olson tied Japan's Jyunpei Takayama during the second round of competition of the Fuji Xerox USA vs. Japan Collegiate Champion. Both competitors shot 1-under 69 at the Stanford Golf Course. The USA took the lead in the three day event 19-17.
