Jerry Dupree And Jeff McMillan Lead Team to Summer Pro League Title

Former USC basketball players Jerry Dupree and Jeff McMillan helped lead the Play 2 Win team to a 104-91 victory over the P. Miller team in the championship game of the agent teams division of the Southern California NBA Summer Pro League on July 20 at the Pyramid in Long Beach, Calif.

Dupree, who played two seasons for the Trojans (2001-03) and averaged 4.2 points in 51 games, averaged 17.6 points and 5.3 rebounds for Play 2 Win, which went 8-0 this summer. The 6-7 forward has been on two consecutive SPL championship teams, as he was a member of the Lifesports team which captured the 2004 title.

McMillan, who averaged 9.6 points and a team-leading 6.9 rebounds for USC last season, scored 8.7 points and grabbed 4.7 rebounds in limited action for Play 2 Win. The 6-8 forward played the last two seasons for USC and averaged 10.4 points and 7.8 rebounds in 53 games for the Trojans.

Other former Trojan basketball players who competed in the SPL included Errick Craven, Derrick Craven, Desmon Farmer, Roydell Smiley and Shannon Swillis.
