Ben Wildman-Tobriner Finishes Fifth at ConocoPhillips National Championships

Irvine, Ca - Ben Wildman-Tobriner (junior in 2005-06) captured fifth place honors in the 100 meter freestyle to highlight Stanford's activities during Thursday's action at the ConocoPhillips Summer Senior National Championships at the William J. Woollett Aquatic Center.
Wildman-Tobriner was timed in 49.92 while the event's winner, Rola Schoeman won the event (48.38). Jayme Cramer, a 2005 Stanford graduate, finished eleventh (50.73).
The championship final of the 200 meter backstroke saw Hongzhe Sun (junior in 2005-06) finish sixth with a time of 2:02.60. Christi DeJong of Club Wolverine won the event (1:58.25).
In the finals of the 800 free, Shaun Phillips (junior in 2005-06) took ninth place honors with a time of 8:10.21. Klete Keller of Club Wolverine won the event with a time of 7:56.66.
The championship meet continues through Sunday. Heats start each day at 9:00 a.m. (pt), while the finals are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. )pt)
