Caroline Bruce Fifth In 200 IM At World University Games

Izmir, Turkey - Current Stanford swimmer Caroline Bruce (2005-06 sophomore) finished fifth in the 200 individual medley on the second day of swimming competition Saturday at the 2005 World University Games. Bruce checked in with a long-course meters time of 2:17.58 in the finals of the event, which was won by Qi Hui of China in 2:14.99.Bruce had qualified second behind Hui with the second best time (2:17.11) by winning the third of five preliminary heats earlier in the day.
