Men's Soccer Team Ranked No. 9 In NSCAA Pre-Season Poll

The UCLA men's soccer team has been ranked No. 9 in the NSCAA/adidas preseason coaches' poll. The Bruins, which finished the 2004 campaign with a 14-4-2 record, will face six other Top 25 teams in the regular season, along with No. 1 Indiana in an exhibition game on Friday, Aug. 19.

Defending NCAA champion Indiana sits atop the polls, followed by Maryland, Duke, UC Santa Barbara, St. John's, Virginia, SMU, New Mexico, UCLA and Wake Forest.

UCLA's season opener is on Sept. 2 vs. No. 21 Santa Clara at 5 pm at Cal State Fullerton. The Bruins will host No. 2 Maryland on Sept. 4 at 1 pm at Frank W. Marshall Field at Drake Stadium.
