  • UCLA stands alone as the remaining undefeated team headed into week three of play ... The Bruins posted a 1-0 win over then-No. 14 Princeton on Fri., Sept. 2 and a 2-0 win over Florida Atlantic on Sun., Sept. 4 in the Miami Tournament ... UCLA is 4-0-0 on the season.

  • WASHINGTON STATE pulled off an incredible upset of No. 11 Tennessee on Fri., Sept. 2, 3-2, in sudden victory overtime ... The Cougars battled back from a 2-0 deficit late in the second half, scoring two goals to send the match into overtime.

  • CALIFORNIA hosted its own Invite in Berkeley over the weekend, notching wins of 3-1 and 1-0 over Montana and UC Santa Barbara, respectively ... With the two victories, the Bears claimed the 11th-annual Cal Invite title.

  • STANFORD, ranked as high as No. 13 in Soccer America's latest poll, shut out both of its opponents over the weekend, defeating Bay Area rivals, San Jose State and San Francisco, 5-0 and 2-0, respectively.

  • ARIZONA STATE's Elizabeth Bogus notched her first two goals on the season, collecting both in a 3-2 thrilling Sun Devil comeback win over UC Irvine on Fri., Sept. 2 ... ASU outshot the Anteaters by 27 in the match.

  • Headlining this week's matches will be numerous tournaments as ARIZONA is at the Princeton Tournament; ASU heads to the New Mexico Tournament; Cal is at the Saint Mary's Invite; Stanford plays at the USF Tournament; UCLA is hosting its own Women's Cup, where USC will also be participating and WASHINGTON heads to the Portland Tournament. OREGON will face Elon and North Carolina State, while OREGON STATE and WSU will face nationally-ranked Wake Forest.


  • ARIZONA Wildcats
    Arizona played one match to a scoreless tie against Cal Poly (0-0) in the third weekend of play ... In the first half, the Wildcats had only three shot attempts, while Cal Poly had seven ... Sophomore goalkeeper McCall Smith ended the match with nine saves and tallied her second shutout on the year ... Arizona heads to the Princeton Tournament this weekend to face nationally-ranked Princeton on Thurs., Sept. 8 and Penn on Sat., Sept. 10 ... The Wildcats are currently 1-1-1 on the season.

  • ARIZONA STATE Sun Devils
    Arizona State went 1-1 over the weekend, including a come-from-behind defeat of UC Irvine, 3-2 on Fri., Sept. 2 ... The Sun Devils also lost a 2-1 match against UNLV on Sun., Sept. 4 to fall to 2-2 on the year ... Senior Elizabeth Bogus notched her first two goals on the year, collecting both in the win over the Anteaters ... In the same game, ASU outshot Irvine by 27 ... Senior Haley Stein scored her first career goal in the game against the Rebels on Sunday ... Arizona State will head to the New Mexico Tournament this weekend to play Syracuse and Auburn on Fri., Sept. 9 and Sun., Sept. 11, respectively.

  • CALIFORNIA Golden Bears
    California, hosting the 11th-annual Cal Invite, posted two wins over Montana, 3-1 and UC Santa Barbara, 1-0 to claim the title and improve to 3-0-1 on the year ... Junior Anna Key made her first start of the year in goal against Montana and nabbed four saves to secure the win for the Bears ... Two days later, Cal was back at it, outshooting its opponent, 15-4 ... The Bears jumped from No. 24 to No. 16 in this week's Soccer America poll ... The Bears will face Dartmouth on Fri., Sept. 9 and SMU on Sun., Sept. 11 in the Saint Mary's Invite.

  • OREGON Ducks
    Oregon had three matches over the previous week, notching one win, one loss and one tie ... Against Portland State on Sun., Sept. 4 the Ducks notched a 2-1 win to improve to 3-1-1 on the year ... Oregon has now tied its previous win total from last season in just five matches ... Senior midfielder Cristan Higa scored the game-tying goal against Gonzaga, to give her two scores on the year, doubling her career total ... Senior forward Nicole Garbin also notched her ninth career game-winning goal against PSU ... Oregon will face Elon and North Carolina State this weekend.

  • OREGON STATE Beavers
    Oregon State came away from the UNC Greensboro/adidas Classic with a 1-1 record, including a 4-0 shutout of Richmond on Sun., Sept. 4 ... The Beavers are now 3-1 on the year ... Sophomore midfielder Jetta Sadusky scored two goals in the first half of the Richmond game ... Stacey Mescher and Jen Crump added the other two goals ... Against host UNC Greensboro, the Beavers could not hang on in overtime, as they lost, 1-0 ... Oregon State has one match this week against nationally-ranked Wake Forest at home on Sun., Sept. 11.

  • STANFORD Cardinal
    Stanford rebounded from a tough 3-0 loss at Portland to open its season, by notching two wins over Bay Area rivals, San Jose State and San Francisco, 5-0 and 2-0, respectively ... Senior Leah Tapscott added two goals over the weekend, including the game-winning goal against USF on an assist from freshman Marisa Abegg ... Goalkeeper Alex Gamble completed the first shutout of her career in the same game ... The Cardinal is ranked as high as 13th in Soccer America's latest poll ... Stanford will play in the USF Tournament this weekend, facing Illinois on Fri., Sept. 9 and No. 1 North Carolina on Sun., Sept. 11.

  • UCLA Bruins
    UCLA, the lone undefeated team in the Pac-10 at 4-0-0, notched two wins over No. 14 Princeton and Florida Atlantic, 1-0 and 2-0, respectively in the Miami Tournament ... Sophomore Danesha Adams scored both goals in the game against FAU ... In the same match, freshman Kelsey Davis got her first start of the season in goal, notching one save ... The Bruins are ranked third in all three polls for the third consecutive week ... UCLA will host its own Women's Cup this weekend, facing Penn State on Fri., Sept. 9 and Colorado on Sun., Sept. 11.

  • USC Trojans
    USC improved to 2-1 on the year with a 4-0 blanking of UC Irvine on Sun., Sept. 4 ... Sophomore defender Kat Stolpa took a header off a corner kick to give USC its first score of the game against Irvine ... Adding to the scoring mix were Jocelyn Hein, Amy Rodriguez and Lauren Brown ... The Women of Troy will next head across town to compete in the UCLA Women's Cup, facing Colorado on Fri., Sept. 9 and Penn State on Sun., Sept. 11.

    • WASHINGTON Huskies
    Washington hosted its own Husky/Nike Invitational over the weekend, finishing third overall with one tie and one loss ... UW is now 0-2-2 on the season ... In the 1-0 loss against San Diego State, goalkeeper Kelsey Rasmussen notched three saves ... Sophomore forward Katy Dowling scored the lone Washington goal in the 1-1 tie against Pacific ... The Huskies will head south to play in the Portland Tournament, facing West Virginia on Fri., Sept. 9 and Wisconsin on Sun., Sept. 11, both of whom are ranked in all three of the latest polls.

    Washington State pulled off an unbelievable upset of No. 11 Tennessee on the road as it battled back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat the Volunteers, 3-2 in sudden victory overtime ... The Cougars are now 3-1 on the season ... Carmen Anderson, Jennie Kunc and Megan Hyte each scored in the contest, as WSU outshot Tennessee, 12-10 ... Goalkeeper Katie Hultin added three saves for the Cougars ... The team suffered its first loss on the season in a 1-0 defeat to Vanderbilt ... WSU will take on nationally-ranked Wake Forest on Fri., Sept. 9, its lone match of the week.
