ASU Invites Invites Hurricane Katrina Evacuees to LSU Game

TEMPE, Ariz. - ASU is working with the office of Arizona governor Janet Napolitano to extend an invitation to the evacuees from Hurricane Katrina to attend this Saturday's football game between ASU and Louisiana State University at Sun Devil Stadium.ASU staff member Sandra Ferniza is working closely with the Governor's office, the City of Tempe and others to arrange transportation to and from the game. The evacuees will attend the game as guests of ASU and through generous donations from corporate and individual sponsors. Net ticket proceeds from the game will go to Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.Season ticket holders and others who would like to donate tickets to the game for use by evacuees or for resale to increase funds raised for hurricane relief should be instructed to contact Terri Shafer.
