Allstate and ASU Team Up to 'Kick In' For Hurricane Katrina Relief
Sept. 8, 2005
TEMPE, Ariz. -
In conjunction with Allstate Insurance Company's new 'Good Hands' field goal net program, Allstate will make a $1,000 donation to the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund for every successful field goal made by Arizona State at their home and away games throughout the 2005 college football season. Allstate announced this week that its well-known 'Good Hands' logo will be featured on the goalpost netting of more than 30 Division 1-A college football stadiums, including Sun Devil Stadium.
The Allstate 'Good Hands' field goal net program was launched at Sun Devil Stadium on Sept. 1, when the Sun Devils defeated the Temple Owls. Allstate will also make donations to the Sun Angel Foundation for each field goal ($300 per) and extra point ($100 per) that travel through an Allstate branded net during ASU home games.
'In light of the recent Hurricane Katrina disaster that continues to devastate the Southeast, Allstate wanted to provide increased support in this time of need,' said Joseph Tripodi, Allstate's chief marketing officer. 'However, these monetary donations are just one part of our commitment to the communities in which members of the Allstate family live and work.'
