WSU Tennis Player Earns National Ranking

PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State tennis player Ekaterina Burduli earned a national ranking of No. 45 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

The Tel Aviv, Israel native collected 15 singles victories in the 2004-05 season. In dual match play, she led the Cougars with 14 singles victories. Burduli stunned No.6 Dea Sumantri of Washington, which was the biggest upset in Cougar Tennis history.

Burduli was Pacific-10 Conference Honorable Mention and ended last season with an ITA ranking of No. 69. A year ago, Burduli was selected as the fifth alternate for the NCAA Singles Championship.
