Volleyball Reschedules Matches In College Station, Texas

Sept. 13, 2005

TEMPE, Ariz. (www.TheSunDevils.com) -- Due to Hurricane Katrina and the devastation it caused on New Orleans, the scheduled matches this weekend for the Arizona State University volleyball team have been moved to College Station, Texas.

The Sun Devils (4-4) will play LSU on Friday (12 p.m. CST) and Tulane on Sunday (1 or 2 p.m. CST) at the G. Rollie White Coliseum on the campus of Texas A&M University. The Tulane volleyball program has moved its program to the College Station campus after the school cancelled all classes during the fall semester.

ASU was originally scheduled to play LSU, North Carolina State, New Orleans and Nicholls State. UNO cancelled its entire season and Nicholls State picked up matches against Stephen F. Austin and Sam Houston State.

Arizona State returns home to open Pac-10 play Sept. 23-24 against Oregon and Oregon State. All home Pac-10 matches start at 7 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena.
