No. 2 WASHINGTON remains unbeaten, but will be challenged when it hits the road for a pair of matches at No. 6 Hawai'i ... No. 3 STANFORD, riding a seven-match winning streak, will see its first action at home when it faces No. 23 Saint Mary's on Thursday ... In addition to Washington and Stanford, four other Pac-10 teams remain in the AVCA Top 25 - No. 11 UCLA, No. 12 USC, No. 20 ARIZONA and No. 21 CALIFORNIA ... ARIZONA STATE was scheduled to participate in the Tulane/New Orleans Volleyball Classic. However, Hurricane Katrina forced the cancellation of the tournament. The Sun Devils are tentatively planning to play Louisiana State and Tulane this weekend in College Station, Texas.

ARIZONA - Junior S Stephanie Butkus was injured in Arizona's win over No. 18 UC Santa Barbara. In her absence, sophomore Amy Dyck responded with 36 assists against Santa Clara and a career-high 49 assists in the win over Fresno State ... Senior OH Kim Glass was named all-tournament at the Bronco Invitational after she posted 4.64 kills, 3.18 digs and 0.55 service aces and 0.45 blocks ... Sophomore MB Dominque Lamb tallied a career-high 10 blocks against Fresno State.
ARIZONA STATE - The Sun Devils have won three straight for the first time since winning three in a row early in the 2003 season ... Freshman OH Margie Giordano earned MVP honors at the Wyndham Buttes Volleyball Classic after averaging 3.70 kpg and 3.20 dpg ... Sophomore L Sydney Donahue averaged 6.90 digs per game in three matches last week, which included a 34-dig performance against Texas State. She leads the Pac-10 with 6.52 digs per game ... Hurricane Katrina forced the cancellation of the Tulane/New Orleans Volleyball Classic this weekend. The Sun Devils are tentatively planning to play LSU and Tulane in College Station, Texas on Friday and Sunday.
CALIFORNIA - The Golden Bears lead the Pac-10 with 2.75 service aces per game. Junior S Samantha Carter leads all Pac-10 players with 1.00 service aces per game ... Carter, senior OH Jenna Brown and sophomore OH Angie Pressey earned all-tournament honors at the Golden Bear Invite. Brown responded by hitting .463 in two matches, collecting 22 kills in 41 attempts with only three errors. Pressey averaged 4.75 kills during the Invite ... Pressey leads the Bears and is eighth in the Pac-10 with 4.15 kpg.
OREGON - Senior OH Jaclyn Jones missed action at the Crown Plaza Showcase with a leg injury. She has been averaging 2.46 kills per game ... Senior OH Kelly Russell and freshman MB Mira Djuric were named all-tournament at the Crowne Plaza Showcase. Russell tallied 81 kills in four matches, while Djuric led the Ducks with 5.74 points per game ... Russell (4.61 kpg) and Djuric (4.36 kpg) rank second and fourth respectively among the league leaders in kills per game. Both are tied for first in the league, averaging 5.52 points per game ... Russell became the sixth Oregon player to record 1,000 kills.
OREGON STATE - Junior MB Brittany Cahoon earned all-tournament honors at The Hilton Classic, hosted by Colorado State. Cahoon posted 31 kills (2.82 kpg) and 12 blocks (1.09 bpg) during the tournament ... Senior setter Desma Stovall tallied 19 kills in the three matches while posting a .405 hitting percentage and tallying 101 assists... Four different players have led the Beavers in kills through six matches, only senior OH Katelyn Healy and junior MB Abby Windell have led more than once.
STANFORD - The Cardinal have reeled off seven straight wins, and have won 23 of its last 24 matches dating back to last season ... Senior OH Kristin Richards earned all-tournament honors at the Colorado Invitational ... Richards is nearing the 1,000 kill/1,000 dig milestone. She currently has 985 kills and 939 digs for her career ... Freshman OH Cynthia Barboza leads all Pac-10 freshmen with 4.42 kills per game.
UCLA - Freshman OH Kaitlin Sather and Junior MB Nana Meriwether were both named All-Tournament at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Challenge. Meriwether led the Bruins in kills, blocks and points in both Bruin wins at the Challenge. Meriwether's .650 attack percentage vs. Cal State Northridge on Sept. 8 is the sixth-best attack percentage in UCLA women's volleyball history with a minimum of 20 attacks. It is the third-best error-free performance with a minimum of 20 attacks in a single match ... Head coach Andy Banachowski now needs 11 wins for 1,000 on his career.
USC - The Women of Troy have dropped four regular season non-conference matches in a season for the first time since the 1990 season. However, those defeats this year have come at the hands of ranked opponents - No. 5 Penn State, No. 4 Hawai'i, No. 19 Notre Dame and No. 6 Florida ... USC gets a break from top 25 competition when it faces Pepperdine this week. While Pepperdine is not in the top 25, it was listed among other teams receiving votes in the latest AVCA poll ... Sophomore MB Diane Copenhagen and senior MB Staci Venski each recorded 57 kills (4.38 kpg) during the UTSA Dome Rally.
WASHINGTON - Sophomore OH Christal Morrison led Washington to win a share of the Doublewood Inn Classic title. Morrison led the Huskies with 5.25 points per game and 4.12 kills per game, while hitting at a .552 clip. Morrison made just one error in 58 attempts. She also had seven aces in eight games played and added 13 digs and three blocks ... Sophomore MB Alesha Deesing (.641), senior OH Sanja Tomasevic (.509) and Morrison (.472) rank first, second and third respectively in hitting percentage in the Pac-10 ... As a team, the Huskies are hitting .485 on the season ... The Huskies have logged 50 aces through the first seven matches of the season while only giving up nine aces to their opponents.
WASHINGTON STATE - Senior MB Natalia Owens (37 kills, .232 hpct, 22 blocks, 25 digs) was named to the second all-tournament team in two weeks. Owens leads the Pac-10 with 2.04 blocks per game ... Jessie Camp's Baden Cougar Challenge all-tournament team selection is the first for the junior OH ... WSU averaged 4.05 blocks per game in the three-match tourney ... Senior MB Te'Ara Epps made her Cougar debut in the 3-1 win over Buffalo, garnering 10 kills (.308 hpct) and 8 blocks. After sitting out WSU's first five matches with an abdominal strain, Epps broke a bone in her thumb and had to sit out the Idaho match.
