Trojans Open 2005 Action At Iverness Intercollegiate Invitational

The USC men's golf team, ranked No. 7 in the preseason by Golfweek.com, opens 2005-2006 competition at the 2005 Iverness Intercollegiate Invitational at the Iverness Club in Toledo, Ohio, on Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 19-20). The women's team is ranked No. 8.

A 15-team invitational hosted by the University of Toledo, the tournament will consist of 54 holes of medal play with team and individual titles at stake. Thirty-six holes will be played on the par-71, 7,255-yard course on Monday with 18 holes on Tuesday. The best four of five scores for each round will count.

Among the returning Trojans expected to lead them early on are seniors Taylor Wood, Tyler Ley and Bradley Shaw and juniors Joshua Wooding, Ben Miller and Jordan Nasser.
