Volleyball Match vs. No. 6 Hawaii To Be Broadcast On The Web

Seattle- The second-ranked Washington volleyball team (7-0) will take on No. 6 Hawaii (5-3) this evening at 10 pm (PST) and tomorrow at 9 pm. Both matches will be broadcast live via webcast through Hawaiian Telecom and KFVE. Fans can purchase 'iTickets' for $9.95 per match at www.hawaiiantelmedia.com.
Sports Radio will also broadcast the matches live and fans can hear the match over the internet on www.sportsradio1420.com.
The Huskies get their first real test tonight vs. the Rainbow Wahine as they take on their first ranked opponent of the season. Washington is off to a strong 2005 start, leading the country with a .485 hitting percentage and has held its opponents to a miniscule .032 clip.
Hawaii has already faced five top-10 opponents this season and has come away with a 2-3 record. UH's victories vs. ranked opponents came against fellow Pac-10 teams No. 7 USC and No. 10 UCLA. Hawaii lost its season opener to top-ranked Nebraska and dropped two matches to No. 5 Penn State.
Hawaii leads Washington 7-1 in the all-time series, including a 3-0 (30-26, 39-37, 30-25) victory in the 2002 NCAA Second Round in Honolulu. UW's lone win came on Sept. 12, 1992 with a five-game barnburner in Honolulu (15-10, 9-15, 15-10, 7-15, 15-13).
The matches should prove to be two of the toughest road matches this season for the Huskies as Hawaii leads the nation in attendance with 7,114 fans per game. Both matches are sold out.
