Cardinal Men Tied for Fifth At Gopher Invitational

The Stanford men's golf team shot rounds of 303 and 301 today at the Gopher Invitational and are tied for fifth heading into tomorrow's final round. Host-Minnesota leads the field with a two-round score of 585 (301-284), followed by Washington (596), Purdue (596), Georgia State (599), Memphis (604) and Stanford (604).

Cardinal Kyle Gentry leads the team with a three over 147 (71-76) and is tied for 10th along with teammate Zack Miller (73-74). Rob Grube checks in tied for 24th after two rounds with a seven-over par 151. Frosh Dodge Kemmer is tied for 56th with a 161 (81-80) along with teammate Daniel Lim (83-78). Both are making their first collegiate starts for Stanford.

Three players are currently tied for the individual lead with a one-under 143. All three are Gopher golfers (Antti Ahokas, Josh Persons and Niall Turner). Minnesota's Bronson LaCassie is tied for fourth (145) along with Washington's Alex Prugh.

Action concludes tomorrow at the Spring Hill Golf Club.
