Brian Schroeder Wins Northwoods League 'Silver Glove'

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - UCLA junior Brian Schroeder, who in 2005 was the Bruins' co-Most Outstanding Pitcher and team leader with 31 appearances, was honored as a Northwoods League Silver Glover, it was announced last week. Schroeder was 1-2 with a 3.88 ERA in 62.2 innings pitched for the Duluth Huskies this summer.

The Northwoods League's 'Silver Glove' is awarded annually to the NWL's 'Finest in the Field', recogning the League's top fielders at each position. The winners are selected based on final official fielding statistics compiled by the League statistician Sports Ticker, a Bristol, CT based sports statistical service company.

Schroeder was Duluth's only recipient of the honor.
