ARIZONA - Junior S Stephanie Butkus is out for 6-8 weeks after injuring the media collateral ligament in her right knee ... Coach Dave Rubio became the all-time winningest coach in Arizona volleyball history when the Wildcats defeated Connecticut. It was the 259th win at the helm of the Wildcats, surpassing Rosie Wegrich's 258 victories from 1977-1991 ... Senior OH Kim Glass was named MVP of the Rhode Island Invitational after averaging 3.90 kills, 3.20 digs and 1.20 blocks per game over three matches. Fellow seniors Bre Ladd and Jennifer Abernathy earned all-tournament honors ... Sophomore MB Dominque Lamb also was impressive at the Rhode Island Invitational, hitting .500 to collect 24 kills on 44 attempts with just two errors ... As a team, Arizona hit .331 at the Invitational.

ARIZONA STATE - Sophomore L Sydney Donahue has posted 20 or more digs in five matches this season, including the last three matches. She averaged 6.88 digs per game in two matches last week ... Sophomore MB Staci Smith hit .520 with 14 kills in 25 attempts and just one error in ASU's in over Tulane. She also added seven blocks ... Junior OH Nicole Morton missed both matches last week with a sprained ankle.

CALIFORNIA - Sophomore OH Angie Pressey and junior S Samantha Carter were named all-tournament at the Circus Circus/Molten Invitational. It was the third time this season that both players earned all-tournament honors ... Pressey hit .429, collecting 56 kills (5.09 kpg) on 105 attempts and just 11 errors ... Each of the Bears' seven victories this season have been by 3-0 scores, while their two losses have ben 3-2 games ... Cal opens Pac-10 play against UCLA and will be attempting to defeat the Bruins for the first time in school history (0-47).

OREGON - At 10-1, the Ducks have equaled their win total for all of last season ... In two victories over Fresno State last week, freshman L Katie Swoboda tallied 48 digs (6.86 dpg), including a career-high 31 digs in Saturday's win ... Freshman MB Mira Djuric posted 37 kills (5.29 kpg) over the last two matches. She's led the Ducks in kills in six of 11 matches this season ... Junior MB Kristen Bitter is hitting .402 over the last four matches with 51 kills (3.19 kpg).

OREGON STATE - Junior MB Brittany Cahoon hit .548 with 26 kills in OSU's exhibition win over British Columbia ... Junior MB Abby Windell collected 14 kills in 26 attempts with only one error.

STANFORD - Junior OH Kristin Richards became the 97th player in Pac-10 history to reach 1,000 kills for her. She has 1,023 kills and is on the verge of collecting her 1,000th dig of her career. She currently has 983 digs for her career ... The Cardinal have won 10 straight and 25 of their last 26 matches ... During Stanford's 10-match winning streak, freshman OH Foluke Akinradewo is hitting .473, with 141 kills (4.55 kpg). She has posted double-digit kill totals in 10 of 12 matches played this year ... Stanford opens Pac-10 play at home where it is 50-3 over the last three years.

UCLA - Junior OH Nana Meriwether and freshman S Nellie Spicer were named to the all-tournament team at the InnTowner Invitational. Meriwether tallied 21 blocks (1.91 bpg) in three matches, while Spicer posted 157 assists (14.27 apg) during the Invitational ... Junior OH Colby Lyman suffered a strained MCL during the Villanova match and did not play in the last two matches of the Invitational. Sophomore MB Meghan Schoen tore an ACL while landing on the officials stand early in the Villanova match and missed the remaining matches as well ... The Bruins open Pac-10 play at California. UCLA is 47-0 all-time against California ... Head coach Andy Banachowski now needs nine wins for 1,000 on his career.

USC - Senior MB Bibiana Candelas hit .465 in posting a career-high 23 kills in USC's win over Pepperdine ... Freshman MB Kelli Tennant registered five blocks against Pepperdine, giving her 24 total blocks (0.83 bpg) for the season ... The Women of Troy open up league play against Stanford. USC has won three of the last four meetings with the Cardinal.

WASHINGTON - The Huskies went on the road last week and swept No. 6 Hawai'i in a pair of matches to remain undefeated on the season. The Huskies have swept their opponents in three games in all nine matches this season. It was the first time Hawai'i was swept in back-to-back home matches since the 1993 season ... Sophomore MB Alesha Deesing led the way in Hawaii, hitting .429 in collecting 20 kills (3.33 kpg) in 42 attempts with just three errors. In addition, she posted 12 blocks (2.00 bpg). Deesing leads the Huskies with 34 blocks (1.48 bpg).

WASHINGTON STATE - Junior MB Jen Barcus has been a consistent force for the Cougars. At the Billikens Classic, where she was named all-tournament, Barcus hit .493 in three matches, collecting 40 kills (3.64 kpg) and 22 blocks (2.00 bpg) ... Freshman L Jalen Pendon recorded a career-high 26 digs in the win over Saint Louis. Pendon ranks fourth in the Pac-10, averaging 4.51 dpg ... By picking up three wins last week, the Cougars ran their season victory total to seven. WSU won a total of five matches last season.
