Sun Devils Currently in 4th Place

The Arizona State University women's golf team is in fourth place after the first round of the Mason Rudolph Women's Championship, being held Friday-Sunday, Sept. 23-25 in Franklin, Tenn.

Vanderbilt University is leading the event after shooting a nine-under 279 in the first round. ASU is currently in fourth place after carding a one-under 287 in the first round.

Arizona State senior Alissa Kuczka and freshman Azahara Munoz are leading the Sun Devils individually and are tied for seventh place after scoring two-under 70 on Friday. Both Sun Devils are currently two strokes behind the leaders, Jacqui Concolino and Liebelei Lawrence, both of Vanderbilt, turned in a four-under 68 in the first round.

Junior Tiffany Tavee is tied for 16th after shooting an even 72, while freshman Jennifer Osborn is tied for 40th with a three-over 75. Junior Lindsay Anderson is tied for 56th carding a five-over 77.

The Mason Rudolph Women's Championship continues Saturday and Sunday at the 72 par, 7,200-yard Vanderbilt Legends Club.

Following this week's action, Arizona State will travel to Redmond, Wash., for the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, Oct. 10-12, which will be held at Sahalee Golf and Country Club.
