Pac-10 Football Players of the Week Named

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.-- Tailback LenDale White of USC, cornerback Daymeion Hughes of California and kick returner Terry Richardson of Arizona State have been named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Football Players of the Week.
White, a junior from Denver, Colo., played a key role in USC's comeback 38-28 road win at No. 14-ranked Arizona State. White rushed 19 times for a career-high 197 yards (10.4-yard average) with two touchdown runs of 32 and 46 yards. USC rushed for 373 yards and had 631 yards in total offense.
Hughes, a junior from Los Angeles, Calif., led California's defense in a 28-0 shutout win against Arizona. Hughes had two interceptions returned for 41 yards, broke up two passes and was credited with five tackles. The Cal defense pitched a shutout and limited Arizona to 13 first downs, 37 yards rushing, 169 yards passing, 206 yards total offense and intercepted three passes.
Richardson, a junior from Corona, Calif., had a total of 218 kick return yards in Arizona State's 38-28 loss to No. 1-ranked USC. Richardson returned three punts for 111 yards (37.0), including an 84-yard return for a touchdown, and added three kickoff returns for 107 yards (35.7).
Others nominated for offensive player of the week honors were wide receiver Mike Hass of Oregon State, quarterbacks Kellen Clemens of Oregon and Drew Olson of UCLA and running backs Jerome Harrison of Washington State and Marshawn Lynch of California. Also nominated on defense were defensive backs Sabby Piscitelli of Oregon State and John Walker of USC, end Devan Long of Oregon and linebackers Spencer Havner of UCLA, Steve Dildine of Washington State and Dale Robinson of Arizona State. Kicker Alexis Serna of Oregon State, lineman Haloti Ngata of Oregon and kick returners Brandon Gibson of Washington State and Tim Mixon of California were nominated for special teams play.
