Wood Again Tops Trojans' Efforts At Big Ten/Pac-10 Challenge

Taylor Wood posted a final-round 72 to once again lead the USC men's golf team, which finished 12th at the Big Ten-Pac-10 Challenge at the Glen Club in Glenville, Ill., on Tuesday (Oct. 4).
Wood finished at par on Tuesday to give him a three-round total of 214 (-2), tied for seventh and five shots back of first place.
As a team, USC wrapped up play with a 309 (+21) for an overall total of 899 (+35). Northwestern won the tournament (860) and the Big Ten edged the Pac-10 in overall strokes.
Senior Bradley Shaw finished with a 75 for a 222 (+6), tied for 30th, while freshman Ryan Linton concluded a solid first outing of his collegiate career with a 76 on Tuesday and 228 (+12) overall, tied for 53rd. Senior Tyler Ley finished with an 86 and 236 overall, in 66th.
Junior Joshua Wooding was unable to compete for the Trojans for the second consecutive round (back), leaving the Trojans without room for error.
