13th Ranked Bruins Prepare for Chico State Invitational

The 13th-ranked UCLA men's golf team is the featured team in an 11-team field at the Well Fargo Invitational, hosted by Chico State at Butte Creek Country Club.

UCLA joins Division II and NAIA teams Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Stanislaus, St. Martin's College, Sonoma State, Chico State, Hawaii-Hilo, Grand Canyon, UC San Diego, CS Monterey Bay and Notre Dame de Namur. The Bruins are the only Division I school entered in the event.

'This is an opportunity for our team to win a tournament,' said Head Coach O.D. Vincent. 'We're excited about it.'

The Bruins' lineup consists of juniors Chris Heintz and Peter Campbell, and sophomores Matt Marshall, Craig Leslie and Kevin Chappell.

The 54-hole tournament kicks off with an 8 a.m. shotgun start on Mon., Oct. 10. After playing 36 holes on the first day, the teams will finish with tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11
