All-American Leads the Cougars After First Round of Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational

SAMMAMISH, Wash. - Washington State All-American Anastasia Kostina sits in the top-15 after completing the first round at the 24th annual Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, held at the par-72, 6,192 yard Sahalee Country Club, Oct. 10.
After the first round of 18, the WSU women's golf team was led by Kostina, who shot a 75 (+3) and sits just three shots out of the lead. The Nakhabino, Russia native finished the day knotted in a nine-way tie for 12th. Resting just two shots behind Kostina, sophomore Amy Eneroth currently finds herself in the middle of a twelve-way tie for 25th.
As a team, the Cougars shot a 318 (+30) in the tournament's opening round. Although the Cougs finished the day in 13th, they sit behind nine teams that are ranked among the top-25 nationally.
Heading into the second round, sophomore Brooke Henderson sits in a tie for 58th, while teammate Tracy Broders is knotted at 67th. Stephanie Parsley finished the first round in 72nd to round out the Cougar contingent.
The second round of the 24th annual Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational will begin at 10:15 a.m., Tuesday.
