Women's Golf tied for 2nd place after the first round of the Ihlanfeldt Edean Invitational

The Arizona State University women's golf team is tied for second place with Stanford University after the first round of the Ihlanfeldt Edean Invitational, being held Monday-Wednesday, Oct.10-12 in Sammamish, Wash.

Pepperdine University is leading the event after shooting a six-over 294 in the first round. ASU is currently tied for second place after carding a twelve-over 300 in the first round.

Arizona State freshman Jennifer Osborn is leading the Sun Devils individually and is tied for third after scoring a one-over 73 on Monday. Jennifer is currently one stroke behind the leaders, Jenni Tangtiphaiboontana from Stanford and Da Sol Chung of UNLV, after shooting an even 72 in the first round.

Sun Devils Tiffany Tavee and Azahara Munoz are tied for twelth after shooting a three-over 75, while Alissa Kuczka is tied for 25th with a five-over 77. Junior Lindsay Anderson is tied for 43rd carding a seven-over 79.

The Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational continues Tuesday and Wednesday at the par-72, 6,190-yard Sahalee Country Club.

Following this week's action, Arizona State will travel to Stanford, Calif., for the Stanford/Pepsi Intercollegiate, Oct. 21-23.
