Cardinal Women Tied For Second At Edean Ihlanfeldt Invite

Sammamish, Wash. - The Stanford women's golf team opened play at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational being held at the Sahalee Country Club with a 300 on the day which ties them for second heading into tomorrow's round. Pepperdine grabbed the first round lead with a 6-over 294 during the first day of play that was contested in a light rain and cool conditions. Arizona State is tied with Stanford in second.
UNLV's Da Sol Chung and Cardinal Jennifer Tangtiphaiboontana share the lead after shooting even par 72. A pack of five players are tied for second at 73 and five more players are two strokes off the lead at 74. Stanford's Lauren Todd is one of those with a 74 and tied for eighth overall. Freshman Mari Chun is tied for 25th with a 77 along with teammate Kelly Husted. Cardinal Saana Rapakko, competing as an individual, is one stroke back with a 78 and tied for 37th. Freshman Ki-Shui Liao is tied for 48th with an 80 on the day.
The second round of play is scheduled to start at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday's final round will start at 8 a.m. Live scoring of the tournament is available at golfstat.com.
