No. 2 Washington Sweeps No. 17 USC, 3-0

SEATTLE - Alesha Deesing had 10 kills and led all starters with a .421 hitting mark Friday as the No. 2 Washington Huskies swept the No. 17 USC Women of Troy, 3-0 (30-23, 30-16, 30-19), in Pac-10 Conference action. A crowd of 5,099 watched as the Huskies forced the Women of Troy into a season-low .062 percentage, one night after USC had a season-high .402 clip against Washington State.
Brie Hagerty led Washington (16-0, 7-0) with 11 kills while Sanja Tomasevic added 10 kills. Bibiana Candelas recorded 15 kills for USC (8-7, 4-3), which saw its season-high four-game winning streak snapped.
The Women of Troy held a lead midway through the first game, but could not hold on as the Huskies cruised to the game victory. In game two, USC hit minus .119 due to 12 errors.
USC returns home next weekend against Arizona State on Friday (Oct. 21) at 7 p.m. and Arizona on Saturday (Oct. 22) at 6 p.m. Both matches will be played at the Lyon Center.
