This Week - Washington State will travel to Stanford, Calif., to play in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northwest Regional, Oct. 21-24.

Burduli Advances to Maryland Final - WSU sophomore Ekaterina Burduli reached the Maryland Invitational (Sept. 23-25) final and lost to fifth ranked Daniela Bercek of Duke...Burduli captured a win in her semifinal match against No. 31 Ramona But...Burduli is currently ranked 45th by the ITA.

Notable Cougars at Maryland - WSU junior Amy Toth finished second in flight B...WSU freshmen Bianca Selaru and Maria Ring both suffered first round losses, but bounced back to win the consolation bracket...WSU newcomer Marjolein van de Ven finished third in flight C...WSU tandem of Aleksandra Cekic and van de Ven took home second place in flight C doubles.

Newcomers Impact Early - Ring and van de Ven help lead the way for the first year players this fall with six wins each...WSU rookies have accumulated 26 wins and look to expand on that this weekend.
